From the Bishop’s Desk
It was Over 3 years ago I experienced one of the greatest milestones of my life. It was a moment in time that I was humbled greatly forever. I was consecrated to the Episcopal Office of Bishop in the Lord’s Church. I was assigned and appointed Prelate over certainly one of the greatest Jurisdictions within the Church Of God In Christ.
It was at that time that I was directed by the Spirit to empty myself of all that I thought I knew, and all that I thought I was able by my intellect to perform. I was directed to submit myself completely to the GREAT I Am. I was made to know that this was an Apostolic Office that I was divinely called to serve.
It was not an office that was designed to serve me, but rather that I be developed and designed to serve God’s purposes for the Office of Bishop as we now recognize the status of the office.
I have been praying everyday since my elevation for God to direct me through the leading of the Holy Ghost. I’ve been made to know just how insignificant I am to the work of God without the administration of the Holy Ghost. I’ve received greater revelation on how to decrease so that the will of God may increase. I’ve been given insight into much of the craftiness of the enemy that is impeding a great part of the Faith Community from progressing in ministry.
Therefore I employ the constituency of the Greater West Virginia Jurisdiction to follow me as I follow Christ. Trust the God in me and in the leadership He has provided us. Let us love one another in the true spirit of Christ. Let us allow God to magnify his gifts among us as was set forth in the beginning of the church. What we will achieve through our combined efforts will be beyond our imaginations. His works shall be marvelous in our eyes.
